ℹHardy, native, medium size, suckering and fast growing. Shrub has red bark and pointy green foliage turning crimson-red in fall. Clusters of creamy/white spring blooms followed by blue-white ornamental berries that the birds enjoy. Fibrous root system provides effective erosion control on banks and slopes. Adaptable to many soils but prefers well-drained soil.
