The Velveteeny Smoke Bush offers the same silky smooth, deep burgundy foliage with large feathery pink blooms as it's big brother Royal Purple but in a dwarf, petite size. Growing only 3' tall and wide, about the half the size of its siblings, Velveteeny packs a wallop of color in it's small package. In late spring plumes of airy flowers look like puffs of smoke floating above the showy foliage. In fall the purple leaves turn rich red. Deer resistant and tolerant of dry clay soils.
