ℹ Helleborus Mardi Gras Double Purple Mystique offers remarkable slate to grape purple (and sometimes purple-pink) double flowers! These striking blooms are made up of a bowl of larger petals that gracefully hold the cluster of smaller darker petals above, which surround a prominent clump of green to yellow tipped stamens! These elegant and somewhat tropical looking blooms sit atop lush, dark green, semi evergreen foliage which stays fresh looking all season long. Blooming in early to late spring with flowers that hold for weeks on end when planted in partial shade, 'Double Purple Mistique' will bring refinement and beauty to any area you plant it in, whether in containers or in the garden! The Mardi Gras Series is bred by Charles Price of Seattle whose work predates that of most American breeders. The colours are bold, the flowers are large and well-formed and the plants are strong and vigorous. Deer resistant. Perennial Plant of the Year 2005.
