'Hibiscus' Summerific® French Vanilla (Hardy/Perennial Hibiscus)

ℹ The Summerific® French Vanilla Hibiscus will definetly have the neighbors talking. Considered to be one of the few true yellow Hibiscus 'French Vanilla' is a must have in cold climate gardens. This compact form of Hardy Hibiscus has red stems and deep green foliage. The tropical looking flowers will start to put on a stunning show in mid summer starting with pale yellow flower buds that open up to a buttery yellow fading to white. The head turning 7- 8-inch blooms have overlapped petals and a bright magenta eye with a yellow anther. ‘French Vanilla’ holds its creamy yellow color longer than other yellow hibiscus on the market making it a highly desirable cultivar. Low maintenance, perennial hibiscus ('Hibiscus Moscheutos') gets cut back within a couple inches from the ground before each winter and although a later plant to break dormancy in Spring it quickly grows to its full height again each season from its roots.
