ℹ A cold-weather variety from Canada, is a European-style, deep-blue plum that’s excellent for eating fresh, in desserts, made into jam, canned, drying, or frozen. Has showy white flowers in the spring that are followed by blue fruits and firm yellow flesh in late August. This variety is self pollinating, so does not require another plum to set fruit, but benefits from cross-pollination with other European plums. Plums will last two to four weeks stored in the refrigerator. Considered the best blue plum for fresh eating, processing or drying.
