ℹ Same qualities as Clapp's Favorite but with a red skin. Clapp’s Favorite Pear Tree is one of the best for fresh eating, featuring large fruits with gorgeous red skin, a very fine texture, and severe juiciness. Puts on quite a fragrant flower show in the spring. Large, fine-textured crimson skin, with creamy white flesh and ample juice. Excellent for eating out of hand, canning and preserves. Thin the fruit to about five inches apart for optimal results. Tolerates clay soil. Originated as a natural mutation of Clapp’s Favorite. Ripens in late August. Cross Pollinate with Orcas Pear Tree or our Combination pear Tree.
