ℹ Ripens early August. A widely planted variety, Prunus persica 'Redhaven' is a vigorous and fast-growing peach tree adorned with profuse, fragrant, pink blossoms in spring. They are followed by a heavy crop of medium sized, freestone, yellow fruits blushed bright red. The flesh is firm and yellow, fine-grained texture and sweet. Perfect for eating, baking and canning. Some resistance to leaf-spot and peach leaf curl. Self-pollinating, but yields bigger crops when planted near a different peach variety with a similar bloom time.
